AIR: TO/FROM THE AIRPORT
The nearest airport to Pamplona is 6km away at Noáin
. There are daily flights between here and Barcelona or Madrid.
International flights arrive in
Bilbao (150km away) where you can catch a bus to Pamplona.
TRAIN
Pamplona lies on the railway line between San Sebastian and Zaragoza but the
station is some distance north of the town. Catch bus no 9 to Paseo de Sarasate.

BUS
The bus station on Avenida de Yanguas y Miranda is just five minutes from the
old town. Buses run daily to San Sebastian (12 daily, 2.5 hours), Madrid, Zaragoza
and Bilbao.
There are only two buses a day from Santander to Pamplona, and it will take about
3 hours.
HITCHING
Pamplona should be a relatively easy place to hitch from especially to places
around the Basque region. Head to the roads leaving town.

DRIVING
Traffic is not so congested in Pamplona (except during the Sanfermines festival)
and finding your way around should not be a problem. Check your hotel has parking

If you're travelling from the United Kingdom, there are daily ferry connections
from Portsmouth to Bilbao and Plymouth to Santander , but it's a 24-hour voyage.
TICKETS
Buy tickets for local buses on board from the conductor or from newsstands or
the station in advance. For long distance journeys you need to buy the ticket
from the station counter.
