San Sebastian City Guide - Intro |

|
This is one of Spain’s most popular summer resorts and a stronghold of Basque nationalist sentiment. However for tourists visiting San Sebastian is more about lazing on the beautiful crescent shaped beaches and partaking of night time entertainment. There are also a few cultural elements – the free museum and the Monte Urgull with its statue of Christ. And there’s a very atmospheric old town, known as the Parte Vieja, which during the day is quaint pedestrianised shopping streets dotted with medieval churches, cobblestone paths and handsome Art Nouveau buildings, while at night it transforms into a bar hopping heaven with apparently more nightspots than any other neighbourhood in the world.
