AIR
San Pablo Airport (Calle Almirante Lobo, tel. 954 44 90 00) is 12km north of the city off the N-IV Cordoba road. Iberia (www.iberia.com, tel. 90 240 0500) operate to Madrid and elsewhere via Madrid from here. Or you can fly to Alicante, Grand Canary Island, Lisbon, Barcelona, Palma de Majorca, Tenerife, Santiago de Compostela and Zaragoza. To get to/from the airport you can take a taxi that now run for set rates – €17 during the day and €20 on holidays, Sundays or after 10pm. Alternatively there are buses to town. Exit the terminal and turn right passing the taxis. Amarillos Tour S.A. (tel. 90 221 0317), meets flights and transports you into the centre for 2.30€ Alternatively from town you can catch the bus from: Puerta Jerez (in front of the Hotel Alfonso XIII) Palos de la Frontera (next to the Casino de la Exposición)

Bus tickets are €2,50 and depart half hourly from 6.15am until about 10pm.
TRAIN The Estacion Santa Justa train station (Avenida Kansas City s/n, tel. 90 224 0202) is the main station for trains. It is about 1.5km from the city centre and takes about 15 mins to walk there. Buses C1 and C2 take you from this train station to the bus station at Prado de San Sebastián, and bus EA runs to and from the airport. Bus C2 or Bus 32 will get you from the centre to Santa Justa. From Santa Justa there are AVE trains and Talgos trains to Madrid and the evening Tren Hotel. Other trains run to Cordoba , Granada, Malaga, Valencia, Barcelona and Lisbon. You can purchase tickets at the station, in the RENFE office (Calle Zaragoza) or online at RENFE (www.renfe.es). METRO A metro is due to be completed in 2010 and you can get information on their website about it, Metro's Oficina de Información at www.metrodesevilla.net. BUS There are two bus stations. From the Plaza de Armas station near the instersection of Avenida del Cristo de la Expiación and Calle de Arjona buses leave for Extremadura, Madrid, Mérida, Salamanca, Portugal and western Andalucia. Buses to other parts of Andalucia leave from Prado de San Sebastian bus station on Plaza San Sebastian (behind the Alcazar gardens). 10 services daily run to Cordoba (2 hours), Granada (4 hours), Malaga (3.5 hours) and Madrid (6 hours). Other services run to Algeciras, Cádiz, Córdoba, Málaga, Ronda and the Costa del Sol as well as destinations further up the coast including Alicante, Barcelona and Valencia. To Lisbon (Portugal) there are five weekly direct buses (8 hours). Daily buses to Lisbon also run with a transfer at the border (9 hours). If you are heading to the Algarve change at Huelva or on the border at Ayamonte. To get timetable information or book a ticket go to the bus station or the tourist office for help. Alsina Graells bus company tel. 954 418 811. Within Seville there is a fairly good bus system and is a cheap way of getting around. Tickets cost €1 and you can get a list of routes from the tourist office. You can also buy them in bulk discounts at newsstands or tobacco shops or as month passes. For example 10 tickets cost €5.15 and are known as a bonobus. The network has circular routes (eg. C1, C2, C3, C4) and line routes going north, south, east and west. Look for a green light on to show the vehicle is available. Most short rides cost €3-6. From the airport to town there is a flat rate of €17 during the day and €20 on holidays, Sundays or after 10pm. Cabs are metered and charge about €0.50 per kilometre at night and €0.40 during the day. HITCHING Seville should be a relatively easy place to hitch from especially to places around Andalucia. Head to the roads leaving town. For long journeys try the web-based ride sharing service at http://www.europe.bugride.com DRIVING Traffic will be your biggest worry driving in or out of Seville. Most people choose not to drive in the centre as it can be congested and there’s a dazzling difficult numberof one way streets, but a car would be good for visiting areas around the city. Check your hotel has parking provided as that can be difficult also. Auto Europe Hertz Avis Most rental agencies are at the airport and the train station. MOTORCYCLE Major car rental companies will also rent motorbikes. BIKING AND WALKING This may be a cheaper, safer and healthier way to get around Seville as it is compact and most sights are easily accessible. Ask at your hotel or hostel for the nearest places to rent good bikes or do walking tours. We also have tours for biking and walking holidays in Spain. Seville is quite flat and easy to bike around. Places to rent include: Cyclotour (Avenida Hernán Cortez, Parque de María Luisa s/n, tel. 95 468 9666). Open 10.30am-8pm. Sevici is a subscription-based bicycle service that allows you to use city bikes around Seville. You pay a membership fee and can use bicycles within the city leaving and collecting them at designated points. It is a bike program designed to reduce traffic problems. OTHER Horse carriages cluster in Plaza del Triunfo offering visitors a romantic turn about the city. You may also see them near the Alcazar and Giralda. Most work 10am-11pm and charge € 35-40 for 35-40mins around the avenues.
