Valencia City Guide - Intro |
|
|
This town on Spain’s eastern coast has a few claims to fame – delicious paella (rice with chicken, seafood and vegetables), the Holy Grail, great weather and vibrant festivals. While some claim it is drab and industrial, it actually remains one of the most visited places on the Costa Blanca (White Coast). Millions come every year to enjoy the resorts along this coastal strip and the Muslim/Christian heritage of Valencia, sometimes hidden between modern buildings. While the warm climate does make the seaside attractive, you should make an effort to explore the city and particularly the amazing educational centre, City of the Arts and Sciences. It’s also worth heading into the interior off the coast of Sain.
